#dds.jpg

Hi Everyone!

For this month's #PreventSurgery Facebook Live, Dr. Bob shared about one of his great passions: natural women's health. In this recap, he shares about key chapters from his "Guide to Prevent Surgery," including fibroids and ovary removal and ways to keep both in top form. We recommend watching all the way to the end - trust us, you'll be glad you did!

To join Dr. Bob in reading his new YouVersion devotional, which is a starting point for the upcoming "Dr. Bob's Guide To A Healthy Marriage," go here. Enjoy!

October "Half-Hour to Health" | Women's Health

#dds.jpg

We're starting October off with our Women's Health H2H. Dr. Anthony and Dr. Casen are bringing us the most current trends in women's health, including how to prevent breast cancer, and how drugless care is a safe alternative. Below is the video of the class, and underneath that is the audio recording, in case you're driving! We also have plenty of community-wide events this month. Go here to view our calendar.

The Drugless Doctor’s Strategy for Healthy Breasts!

Why does this matter to you?

American Cancer Society 2017 stats- 1/8 women will develop breast cancer in their life time, 85 % of them with no risk factors, a woman’s risk DOUBLES if they have a first degree relative (sister, mother, grandmother).

1/3 women treated will be treated unnecessarily with mammograms- false positives, unnecessary procedures.

Why? 3rd leading cause of death in America today is MEDICAL ERROR (John Hopkins study 2016).

How our body works together- Liver & lymphatic system

What causes our body to be compromised?

Cancer is caused by changes in a cell's DNA – its genetic "blueprint." Some of these changes may be inherited from our parents, while others may be caused by outside exposures, which are often referred to as environmental factors. Environmental factors can include a wide range of exposures, such as:

1.    Lifestyle factors (nutrition, tobacco use, physical activity, etc.)

2.    Naturally occurring exposures (ultraviolet light, radon gas, infectious agents, etc.)

3.    Medical treatments (chemotherapy, radiation, immune system-suppressing drugs, etc.)

4.    Workplace exposures (chemicals, solvents, sprays, cleansers, vapors, air quality)

5.    Household exposures (herbicides, pesticides, paint vapors, gasoline other chemicals)

6.    Pollution (xenohormones or estrogens in water, herbicides, pesticides; also toxic air)

Action Steps

- Focus on green vegetables (decrease estrogen in your body).

- Breast Thermography &  Self-breast examination

- Avoid soy, soda, liver stressing meds and canned food; eat organic foods.

- Get another set of eyes on what is going on in your body

- Share this outline with a woman you LOVE!

The Drugless Doctors | October Events

#dds.jpg

Each October, we witness our tree's leaves changing color, and more recently, many brands and organizations change their colors to pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Regardless if there's a ribbon involved, every woman we know wants to prevent breast cancer, but our hearts sink as we see women placed on the conventional merry-go-round with unnecessary procedures and protocols. It's also concerning when we ask our female practice members if they have a breast health strategy, they always ask "What do you mean?"

We’re here to tell you there is good news though! You can eliminate confusion and create a natural, breast health strategy by considering breast thermography. Our mission at The Drugless Doctors is to help everyone achieve their wellness goals by staying healthy without drugs and surgery. We invite you to click this link to learn more and consider receiving another perspective on what is truly happening in your body. We are here to help make a difference!

Product Spotlight: Vitamin D & Iodine

We commonly see practice members who are often deficient in a few key nutrients including vitamin D and iodine. Below we have a description on why each is important, as well as a video from Dr. Casen.

Bio D Mulsion Forte (Vitamin D) – Vitamin D is an essential nutrient for the body. It is extremely important in the winter time in order to promote better immune function. You can protect yourself from the flu by having an adequate amount of Vitamin D. People that live in the Midwest who don’t get direct sun in the fall, winter, and spring should supplement with Vitamin D. We use a liquid Vitamin D that absorbs better in the body. The recommendation on that product is 1-2 drops on your tongue daily.

Iodizyme – Iodine is an element that is important for proper thyroid and hormonal health. People that have concerns about thyroid function should consult with their healthcare provider in order to be tested for adequate levels of Iodine. Iodine can help people who suffer with seasonal depression or fall allergies.

Breast Thermography Part II

We recently began Breast Thermography as a service at our practice, the only wellness and health practitioner to offer this treatment in Northeast Ohio. Since we began, we have seen amazing results with the ladies who have sought out this drugless approach. Below is updated information regarding the procedure. Please share with your friends or family who would benefit and contact us to schedule a time that works for you.

Thermography (DITI) is a clinical test of physiology. It is a valuable procedure for alerting your doctor to changes that can indicate early stage of breast disease. DITI uses Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging technology to record and assess your breast health with no dangerous side effects. The benefits of Thermography (DITI) are that it offers the opportunity of earlier detection of breast disease than through breast self-examination, doctor examination, or mammography alone. It detects the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, whether it is cancer or fibrocystic disease. Your doctors can then plan accordingly and lay out a careful program to further diagnose and/or monitor you during after any treatment. A certified Clinical Thermographer will record your history and take thermal images during a 20 minute private and discreet appointment. You will need two sets of imaging done approximately three months apart to establish a baseline of your stable pattern. Your thermograms will be kept on record and compared with your annual return to detect any changes in your pattern that may indicate breast pathology. Your results are reported quickly by certified doctors and include all color images taking during your test. It takes years for a tumor to grow, thus the earliest possible indication of abnormality is important to allow for the earliest possible treatment and intervention. DITI’s role in monitory breast health is to help in early detection and monitoring of abnormal physiology.

TDD: PCOS & Infertility

Increasingly, we are finding female practice members and those in the general public unable to conceive. Another common condition we are noticing is polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS. Both of these conditions can be helped with drugless and chiropractic care, and we discuss more in this episode of The Drugless Doctor. If you have questions about either of these conditions, please consider contacting our chiropractic practice in Westlake or Elyria.

Liquid Iodine & Women's Health

A few weeks ago we introduced breast thermography as our newest service to help you towards optimal health restoration. Today, Dr. Casen continues the conversation about why you should consider liquid iodine and applying it topically to certain organs. For more information, please visit this link.
